 throttle mods? I have a older 16hp Van with the knob style throttle. I noticed the newer motors now use the same type of throttle as a snowmobile? I happen to have an old one in the garage. thinking i might change out the throttle?

Re: throttle mods? i changed mine to a bmx brake lever and would never go back. make sure to put a spring on the carb side to pull throttle closed when u let off.

Re: throttle mods? Just installed a new throttle and cable today. Used a bike brake just as Autogateman sugested. I think im going to like this setup so much better.

Re: throttle mods? I sold the motor to TurtleNO, just put a spring going from the bracket on the head to the lever the throttle cable bracket. DO NOT DRIVE IT UNTIL YOU DO SO !!!!!!! the small return spring on the carb is not enough to safely return the throttle closed AND pull that long cable back. that is asking for an accident if you dont. they got the springs at lowes.
