 Re: bog hog mud motors
I personally couldn't afford the kits either so I made mine myself for much less.

 Re: bog hog mud motors
i have thought about building one from scratch. i got ahold of a 20 hp motor. i was worried that would be too big for something homemade. i maybe wrong. for those of you that have built your own what size motor are you running with them?

 Re: bog hog mud motors
We have built some for small one man boats, 5 - 6.5 hp and made plans for these. We personally don't see much difference in building a bigger one from the smaller ones, as a matter of fact we are planning on building a 20 hp one sometime latter this year...

 Re: bog hog mud motors
very cool videos and great pictures seems i might have stumbled into a good bit of money (new better paying job) so i might be buying a brand new motor but anyhow thank you for all of your insight. Mudslinger i really like your setup. even if i buy a motor i may fool around with building my own (back up or just for another boat). where did you get your plans from? when i was hunting in missouri we hunted at a refuge, not gunna say which one for interent scouting reasons. that place what awesome, my friend that we stayed with has a camp like 2 minutes from there. we killed our mallards everyday and shot bonus ducks too, the best $39 for pretty much a guided hunt that i have ever spent. again thank you.
