 can i put a 11hp on a 6.5hp gdlt frame
i have a 11hp honda with a 1 " crank i would like to put on my go devil which has a intek 6.5hp crank is 3/4, shaft is 58", prop is a 7x5 i think. i know i would at least have to get a new yoke for the 1" side of the engine for it to even get going. my frame has no bearings in it just alot of grease and a seal. i know most long tails bigger than 6.5hp go to an 72" shaft. any info would be great ?

you will need a bigger prop for sure, i dont think the shaft lenght will be a problem....

i dont think your motor will line up. 9hp and up have a Shaft centerline: 5-1/2" (from center of shaft to bottom of base) 8 hp and below have a 4-3/16". plus motor will be heavier, making it unbalanced. best bet for more hp might be go- cart mods. websites.
