Post pro drive ?
What does the 27hp & the 36hp prodrive weigh? I have a 1644 gator trax boat & didnt know if they would be to heavy or not & how well they would run on that hull. Thanks

Don't know the weights off hand but there are a few folks running the PD on that hull so its not an issue.

Like Slinger said, the 36 weighs just under 300. The 36 should push that boat some where around 27-29 unloaded depending on the hull condition. Mid 20's with a typical hunting load.

I'm actually a little worried about this too, I want the 36hp for my 17x48 closed bow, but i have 18 sides and a 16" transom so a ton of motor weight would be an issue in the more technical stuff as far a safety goes (other than my belly, no flotation). The 27 is probably a more natural match, but i'm giving up some performance in exchange for a lighter motor, how much might the 27 weigh?

I got a new one in August I think the guy said it weight about 275lbs. I have it on a 848 war eagle and love it two guys I can go 30 mph but you do have to be careful when coming to a stop to keep from getting water in the boat

I have a 1648 short transom gator trax with a 32hp motor on the back. The 32 and the new 36 weigh the exact same (I know because I called and asked KP) and I dont have any problems with the weight. you definitely wont have any problems with the weight.
