Post trolling motor bracket?
I want to buy a trolling motor for my 1748 PD. I would like to mount it on the bow with an alligator type base, but I am open to other ideas. I would like to have it hand controlled so I don't have a foot petal to deal with. What have y'all done? Send some pics to show your set up please.

i used the minn kota quick release bracket ( hockey puck style). easy to install and clean when the trolling motor is removed.

That's exactly what I went with. I put on the Minn Kota quick release with a 45 bow mounted Minn Kota (hand control). It is a beast. It looks really good and works really well. Thanks for the tip! :D

The way I did it is cheaper. But the tradeoff is that I used a piece of pressure treated plywood to bring the quickmount level with the bow of the boat. I think it looks good. But, Prodrive will weld a mounting plate on that looks better. I live a couple of hours from Prodrive and getting the time to get there, get the welding done, paint etc. was too much for me. I painted the plywood and mounted the trolling motor in about an hour and a half. Given my circumstances, I would do it the same way again.
