 SD on a 16x44" GD boat? I am wanting to put a SD on my 16x44" GD boat, is the 27hp GDSD going to weight to much on it? I have a 25hp GDLT on it now, I now there is about 45 to 50lbs. diff. between the two. Any help would be appreciated.
Now I am looking at Gatortail's too. I run in swamps and shallow rivers with gravel shoals to run over which motor would be better for those conditions? Thanks again.

Re: 27hp GDSD on a 16x44" GD boat? The 27 should float fine. Camo has a 35 on one. If I were gonna go to a 35, I'd want a tall transom, but from the pics I've seen camo's boat still has some free board.

Re: SD on a 16x44" GD boat? When I bought my 1644 from Slambin's buddy, they had a 35 GTR on it, I had a 35 MB on it. It will work, & you will be more than happy with it.
