Purchased a boat, but want Suggestions on Motor

 Purchased a boat, but want Suggestions on MotorI have a 15x48 weldcraft with a short transom. My neighbor has a 27PD that is long shaft. Will it work on my boat or do I need to get someone to build it up?

Re: Purchased a boat, but want Suggestions on Motor I talked to a guy at the boat ramp the other day who had a long shaft with the transom built up, he said the same thing. It helps with the water coming in the back of the boat.

Re: Purchased a boat, but want Suggestions on Motor Got mine built by gator tail when I went get my motor.. deff a plus.. like yall said with the wakes.. I wanna say I paid 250.. I coulda got it done a lil cheeper but I figured while it was at gator tail might as well let them do it
