I BOUGHT A BRAND NEW 23HP GDLT IN JULY AND I MAYBE PUT 10 HRS ON IT MY QUESTION IS I PUT GREASE IN THE SHAFT AND IT FILLS UP THE BOWL BUT THEN WITH IN THE FIRST 30 MIN THE BOWL DROP ALMOST ALL THE GREASE OUT OF IT SOULD I CARRY IT BACK TO THE DEALER I BOUGHT IT FROM OR JUST CALL GO DEVIL OR IS THIS NORMAL

Any grease coming out at the seals?

99% sure its air pockets in the shaft housing, filling up with grease. if there is no grease slinging out from behind the prop or at the upper seal, its just air trapped.

On a long tail with that few hours it shouldn't have needed any grease. You either have lower seals that are bad or the grease return slot in the lower bushing is plugged. If the slot is plugged the grease picked up by the spiral grooves in the lower bushing can't return and gets pumped overboard. Take it back to the dealer or call GoDevil or both.

You should have those problems with that new of a motor , thats B.S

I use to greese mine on the greese zerk on the shaft itself not the greese bowl, i would start the motor and put greese in the shaft and when the shaft got full it would over flow into the greese bowl and when that got full i new i had enough greese everywhere!

It must have been trapped air took it out thursday moring and before i put in i cranked the motor and added grease and the rode for a lil bit and the grease started dissapering agian so i stoped and add grease agian and the put boat on trailer went back out friday moring and rode and grease stayed in bowl the hole time thanks for the help guys
