Post cleaning engine & checking for leaks
probably a stupid question/thread, but i ain't scared...i've coated my engine (gator tail gtr35 with 60 hours now) throughout the season with boeshield t-9 as my area is ridiculously salty. it looks as though i have massive oil leaks, but it's got to be the boeshield & dirt - and in checking my oil levels, i'm not losing any. now that i've got the time, i was thinking of cleaning the engine mainly to check for leaks. here are my questions:
1. regular engine degreaser is fine & it won't screw up the paint or electrical connections?
2. check around the case gasket & the engine bolts - anywhere else?
3. anything else / recommendations.
thanks - your mud rookie

Looked at your rig from the link you have posted. What grass is that you used and where did you get it, cause that's the same type area I hunt

the original 6 pieces that are tied to the blind came w/ the hull from go devil - but i don't think they are that different from another pack i bought from academy sports (i don't know what the exact brands are - and am not sure it really matters). i tied them on, sprayed them down w/ water seal (i think it was actually amorall waterseal from walmart) on the inside & outside. i think it helps them last longer, but also makes the color a little darker - which is good for my area. i then bought a big pack of avery killer weed, made ~12 two foot long bundles around 2 inches diameter - tied that to the grass/blind. i painted a few parts of the blind w/ walmart camo spray paint. finally, recoated the whole thing again w/ water seal. i have a couple of extra pieces of fast grass, an engine cover, 1 piece burlap & 1 piece netting.

i'd bet it's avery fast grass - i've heard go devil designed their own pop up, but they contracted for avery to build/manufacture it (i'm sure in china or somewhere super cheap) - so i'd think everything for the blind comes from avery to go devil. probably easiest just to call & ask go devil.
