 What size LT for 1448 Polar Kraft? Just picked one up cheap with a 25hp tiller and want to get a LT for it. It is rated 40hp but I think no way. I am leaning around a 25ish... Are these good boats for Lts?

Re: What size LT for 1448 Polar Kraft? I ran a 24 on my 1650, the same hull I run a 35 GTR on now, it did fine. Got on top relatively quick, and ran around 18mph empty. I would think somewhere in that size range should suit you well. Move your fuel up front, battery too if you can because that short boat will squat a little bit.

Re: What size LT for 1448 Polar Kraft? I ran a 23 on a 1448 grizzly last year. At times Im not sure we could have put another lb of weight in it without going under but it got us to our hunting spot. We didnt have a fear of breaking any water speed records but it did get us to the ducks.... With a 2 man fishing load it would run fine, but again your not going to do any speed record breaking.

Re: What size LT for 1448 Polar Kraft? A buddy of mine has a 25 Go-Devil LT with 26 hours on it is grage kept and in really good condition let me know if your intrested and i will get you his number.

Re: What size LT for 1448 Polar Kraft? i have same boat but with a 18 hp GD . when loaded up with gear, 2 people and dog, i gotta put weight in rear, bow plows down pretty bad. im looking to upgrade motor also, i think a 27hp would work good. only about 175 lbs. remember, i think you might have a 20" transom also, so make sure the LT will work or u might have to get a bracket or something.. good luck
