 Re: Cleats
WOW, Scotty, you did a great job on that rig...Looks AWESOME!
And MMT guys want to talk about "Clear Water"...That Guadalupe River is some of the most clear and beautiful you'll ever see. Congrats on the new rig Scotty...take care of it and these boys will be making fun of you like they do me for keeping a clean rig. Again, great looking boat! Woody

 Re: Cleats
TexasProud, I believe this part of the Guadalupe is called Meadow Lake. It is where the river goes under Hwy 123 in Seguin. Last weekend we put in under the I 10 bridge and I think that part of the river is Lake Placid.

 Re: Cleats
wow, I never knew the Guad had areas you could run a boat. Then again I have only seen the Guad from a tube in that part of the lake...
Very beautiful!

 Re: Cleats
Yeah, I have family with a pad on Placid right below the cliffs - yeah, Placid goes under I-10 - we also used to prowl lake McQueeny which is the next section north....
Stanco,
Below Canyon Lake the Guadalupe has a damn about every 8 to 10 miles and each section is basically a lake with loads of bayous and sloughs to fish and explore....
When we were about 14 or so our PaPa hauled 4 of us cousins and 2 canoes up to New Braunfels where everyone tubes and left us to paddle all the way back to Seguin.... It was cool - we carried the canoes down each damn to the river section below.... But it was a ton of work and we never asked to do it again....
