NEW UNCLE-J 1848 Running 36HP Long Shaft PD
Picked up the new 1848 UNCLE-J this week and I have nothing but great things to say about it. My entire experience with Jason was great and I wouldnt have a boat built by anyone else. He continually made sure I was pleased with the way things were going and made sure everything on the rig was just like I wanted it. I wanted a wide open floor plan because I use the boat for a million different things. Here are some pics of the build and the first weekend on the water for some gator grabbing..... I am planning on bringing it back to J in a few weeks for paint, nav lights, etc. I also dont have any official speeds on the boat but the Iphone GPS thing said 27-28 with two people, dog, and a tank of gas. I will post more info when I get some more runs in with a GPS.

Glad you like your boat, but do you really think it is wise to post pictures as evidence of your illeagal activities on the www . Yall do know there are wildlife and fisheries agents that visit this site...... I swear one day someone here is gonna find themselves in some serious trouble all because they told on themselves by trying to show off with pictures.

 Re: NEW UNCLE-J 1848 Holding a 32HP PD
thanks man the boat is very quick and no the motor is completely stock.... like I said I was using an Iphone gps deal so I dont know how accurate the speeds are but I ran 26 with the same motor on my last hull and it was only a 1648 gatortrax...... I have to say that I feel like Im going faster than that but who knows....I will post "official" speeds when I can get some shallow water and a real gps..

illegal to have them in the boat. Warden has NO idea what your intentions are when he sees it in the boat. Nor does he care what your intentions are.

Thank you so much for your kind words of wisdom and encouragment for us to follow the laws of Louisiana...... unfortunately all of these gators were caught in a private pond out of state. On top of that none were harmed in the making of this film. thanks for viewing

Dude I'm just tryin to help you out before the wrong person sees this.
Also I don't think it really maters if it is private or state property. Can you duck hunt over a baited field just cause it is private?

bpurvis.. wasnt it a alligator farm? You have to tell the whole story.
OK.. I WILL....
Brittons Grandmothers Boyfriend owns a alligator farm in Texas. During the day, people pay to hold baby alligators, and feed the bigger ones. He was frogging in what is called the Breeding Pond. So, it may or may not be illegal.

Was not trying to start an argument and I don't know how the laws of other states read. I was just tryin to help bpurvis avoid gettin caught up in some legal issue with wild life and fisheries. Post what you want. I really don't care......... I does not effect me one bit.
Have A Nice Day.

Very nice boat!!! I'm thinking your speeds are off a little for just a stock motor. Not trying to rain on your parade but usually if it sounds to good to be true it probably is. Check it with a hand held GPS in an area with little or no current. Congrats on the new rig!!!

 Re: NEW UNCLE-J 1848 Holding a 32HP PD
This is not a shot at bpurvis, b/c he said he didn't have accurate speeds yet, but in general I think 90% of the speeds I see on here are a "little aggressive." How many times do you see stock motors running a 30 MPH with 2 people. Just not going to happen. Then you see the honest guys post there speeds of 25-27 asking what is wrong with their motor. It is pretty funny.

 Re: NEW UNCLE-J 1848 Holding a 32HP PD
Well Im not saying that your right or wrong about my speeds buuuttt I will say that this same motor ran an "official" 26.5 on a handheld gps with a light load on my last boat which was a 1648 gatortrax..... And like I said before I'm pretty sure the new boat is moving at least the same if not slightly faster. I'm taking her to Alabama this weekend to hit some clear water down in the bay so I'm gonna put a handheld on it then..... Stay tuned!

I hit 29.1 with my hunt load by myself. Stock engine. JamieB did some tinkering with my motor.

I have the same set up...I get the same speeds. When you think about it, a 36 is only 4hp more than what he has....and I think the brunette needs to make an appearance on NSFW, just sayin....
