Guys what kind of mods changes can you do to a Go Devil 20hp longtail to squeeze out more speed? Props, carbs, etc? I am not running in mud just grass and weeds.

zip tie the governor spring lol but watch your rpms

Head work , more fuel more air, advance the timing a lil that will be a good start

trade it in for a surface drive. a longtail is really not an efficient machine with the direct drive. i wouldnt out too much money into it.

put a diff exhaust on it. i have a 29 hp kawasaki and was only getting 19 then i made a custom exhaust an i get 24 idk how but gps dont lie.

i gained 2mph with an exhaust on my 6.5hp. so it is possible

I gained about 1.5 mph with the exhaust on my 23 hp

You guys that are doing the exhaust mods.. What are you doing? just straight piping them? or putting on some sort of BPS or something?

We don't want to re build them we just want them to sound good

Carb kit and exhaust almost gave me 5 mph don't know if it was worth it yet

i run mine with the prop on the surface, i have to put a little pressure to keep a good "bite" . but i gained a couple mphs just running that way
