Well here's my take- you can keep your sissy plastic covered, rubberband bicycle levered at the boat dock reverse ............. You don't see GTR's up here because a GTR is not going to do anything my PD can't do better in some cases. The one GTR I have seen just got all caught up in reeds while in reverse because she was just digging down into the bog, where as my FPR lifted the back end up over the bog..... I didn't shoot video, Guess what, it was a hunting season not just playing in the mud and shooting video of how great my MM is. Did we forget these are tools not the newest cool thing to do on a saturday with our buddies....... and Yes, there is different kinds of mud, I have watched my old MB just sit in soupy mud and make a hole in the back of the boat then a buddy with a PD drive next to me and stop, then throttle up on plane......... I have also watched a longtail drive circles around all of us while we were all stuck with our short tails in 2in of water with a hard bottom..... Now do I believe that a GTR bent a shaft in reverse- I could see it..... How bout at full throttle forward a PD FPR fail and the lower unit swing around, Sure, I have had confirmation on just that.... How bout a MB with 30hrs round a cam, toast a clutch, break 2 trims, better believe it because i did it...........

Finally want to know which is better, Prodrive- Because thats what I drive......... Before that MB because thats what I had, Before that 9.9Evinrude longshaft- so on, so on.....................
