18 HP Vanguard.... Can't shut it off when running on two cylinders. To stop/ground terminal I have the black switch wire and the kill switch wire. From the coils (2) I have a wire with resistors that also runs to the stop/ground. They are supposed to be linked together with reisiters in between. When I do this it only runs on 1 Cylinder. Take one off and it runs on 2. Kill switch will only stop engine when running on 1 Cylinder. Key switch does not shut off engine at all. ???? Is it the ignition switch that is causing this or something else???

start at ur key switch and follow all wires, if they go to the starter for example then follow where they go. keep following untill u look over all of them....bet one is burnt

Wiring harness. The kill switch not killing it doesn't have much to do with your key switch. My opinion.
