 Re: deal or no deal?
What year is the boat and motor? What does the bottom of the boat look like? That hull is not a good match for a mud motor. I would not consider paying anywhere near that much for that combo. If the boat is in good shape, it's probably worth that much, it's just not a good combo.

 Re: deal or no deal?
not sure of the year but the boat is in good shape, I have a good buddy that does aluminum welding and owes me a favor. what good would it do me (if any) to have the rivets welded?

 Re: deal or no deal?
a riveted boat is stronger riveted than to have the rivets taken out and welded. the lateral bracing is also gonna cause waves in the bottom after a while. boat would still be good for an outboard. buy it all, sell the hull and get ya a new hull better suited for it.
