I got a little ole 6.5hp gdlt...... I'm getting about 16mph with my little 120 azz in a 14x40 tin can of a old azz Sears boat witch I was thinking was quite impressive!!!! Then I put it on my 1232 Fisher and I may get 10mph tops. Just out of courisity what are yall getting out what size boat and type of boat.....

I get 21 with my 23 hp lt on a 14/48

just curious.. whats the thickness of each of those boats? im guessin their both flat bottoms, not sure what a sears ans fisher are...

16mph in a 1440 with a 6.5 LT is pretty damn good. but if that hulls real thin you need to be extra extra careful at that speed. thats why i ask what the thicknesses are, 10 mph may be better IMO

27hp kohler Backwater inc. on a 1652 lowe 22mph deep water

35hp MB on a 1754 Grizzly, 2 guys and dog 21mph.

i get approx 15 mph give or take a few with my 6hp homemade LT on my 1232 bateau with just me in it(110lbs) and i have a little motor work done, i have a 1236 v hull kinda like yours ima about to try it on to see how it does, does the front of yours dig in the water?

i get high 16s bumping 17 with my 16hp GDLT on a 1436 with me (170) and a buddy (180) 6 gal gas and one battery

16 mph out of a 6.5 longtail is danr good. What prop are you running n it?

35hp GDLT, 31.8 Mph- 17x42 skiff

We still never seen video of a GPS on that either.

19 mph with a 16hp on 1436 with just me 220lbs

I wish my 20hp. with brand new prop and no engine problems could run as fast as these longtails.

6.5 gdlt with just me 11-12mph. exhaust and different airfilter. with 2 adults and 2 kids about 8mph

Any motor under 16 hp. i dont believe is getting over 12-14 mph. maybe im wrong but i sure have run a bunch of them and even have a 8 hp. motor and its slow as piss. A surface drive or copperhead are the only small hp. motors runnin that fast.

Its not hateing all people give themselves a few extra mph. even surface drive but dont expect me to think a 6.5 hp is getting 16mph. I get just over that empty with a 20

friend has a 13 that will run 16-17mph. 12-13 with 2 adults and 2 kids

19 mph is mine surface driving but with cav plate down i get 16 mph with a 16hp slinging a hopkins 8 3/4 x 5 prop on 1436 alumacraft

I got 18 out of my 16 gdlt on a 1436 grumman with just me, fuel tank, and my dog. Then 16 with another guy in the boat. How are people getting close to that same speed with half the hp?

im gettin those speeds with my 6hp by just me(110 lbs) and empty boat, boat prolly weighs 150 lbs(1232) and also i have the govener removed on my motor

Quack Attacker I can promise you they are not pulling those speeds out of any sized boat or tiny mud motor longtail. With a 14 by 36 bottom im just as small as anyone else and empty like I said i might touch 19mph.
