mud buddy 12 or 23 hp on a 1448 ? seems the 23 might be a little heavy. thanks

12 I think would be to small I'd go with a 23 u can always add a hunt deck or something just put ur tank and batteries up front. IMO u should be alright if u can balance the load.

ive got a 14x48 with a mini lite 23. short transom. floats fine just have to bump the gas while setting down or it will back wash. i wouldnt go ant smaller!

Buddy of mine has 1542 w/ 23 hyper and it does good. 23 mini would probably fit u well.

Here is another vote for the 23. I have a 36PD on a 15x48. Fuel tank up front right behind front deck, battery in back. Tall transom , no problems.
