Mandatory Boating Education - All persons born after January 1, 1984, must complete a boating education course and carry proof of completion to operate a motorboat in excess of 10 horsepower. The person may operate the boat if accompanied by someone over 18 years of age who if required has completed the course

i got my card at like 14 so im good i carry it with my lifetime license

Just FYI wear them lifevests and kill switches when running the tiller handle, the GW will ticket for that. Plus all this Boater Safety talk, wearing those are just part of safety. I went ride last time with a few from here in Lake Fausse point and I was the only one that wore vest while operating tiller motor. So from what i have seen the Boater Safety is just being done to comply with regulations and safety not being practiced by some.
