 16x48 GD/SD with GD23 SD
First time poster, but I've been reading and keeping an eye on this site since I moved to Louisiana, so here it goes...
Just bought a brand new 16x48 SD Boat with split seats with a 23 SD on the back of it from the folks up in Baton Rouge. Couldn't be more happy with my decesion. Looked real hard at the Gator Trax and found that your money goes a lot farther with the Go Devil Products and I definitely wanted something turnkey.
I've been out twice so far and have logged around 3 hours and so far I'm pleased. On the mayden voyage with me solo, 6 gallons and standard gear (life jackets, dry box, anchor, etc.) I was getting right below 25 mphs in deep water. I didn't put her in anything to muddy or thick, aside from the usual floating vegatation. Last Sunday I went to do some fishing down in Chauvin with a buddy and tested her with a full load and another body. I was getting right under 21 with marine ich chest, fishing gear, standard gear and two guys both around 210.
Great boat so far and I'm assuming as long as I keep up with the maitence and make it through the 10 hour break in period, I won't have a problem.
