first run on the 13 hp home build
well im new to long tails and boy are they different to turn i know all you guys said the 1448 mod v is a real bear with a long tail an yeah hard to get on plane it ran around 12 mph it went through the cattails 6in water but all in all it has a ton of power and will get me where i need to go but not in a real hurry like my 30 hp outboard did
couple questions the motor seemed to have more speed and power at 3/4 throttle then full is this a cavitation plate issue because the motor at any speed i could take my hand off the handle and it would stay in the water perfect

sounds like your jetting may be a little rich if your not gaining from 3/4 to full throttle
