 Building a long tail...Has anybody used those eBay plans, are they worth it?

Re: Building a long tail... I built one using Mad Mud Motor plans from E-bay. I used a 8 HP motor and it turned out nice. The plans tell you everything you need to know and has lots of photos. You can't go wrong.

Re: Building a long tail... Anyone else have problems with the grease seals that they recommend from mcmaster? Mine kept leaking, not sure if I had too much grease in shaft?

Re: Building a long tail... You only need blinker if you plan to operate it between 1 and 2 A.M. In reverse at speeds above 20 mph.
Your prop is fine, the reason it's called an 8x5 is it starts at 8" but is good until 5" I am new to mud motors, where is the portal to enter blinking fluid?
