 Got my first longtail
It may be used but its mine bought and paid for 11 hp 340 gx electric start,runs great, 72" drive unit functioning as it should was home built but looks like production models need prop and some cleaning, looking to get boat this evening have $375.00 tied up in motor anyone got any thoughts all are welcome.

got a 14 38 rivited tonight for $50 going out on lake tommorow after work to see if it will all work together probably wont be fast but I bet it has a little power in the river

My first mud rig was a 1436 jon from French Settlement, La. that was all beat up and I slapped an 18 HP GD longtail on it. She was slow but able and I shot a lot of ducks out of that rig. Just be sure you balance your load and have all the requisite safety equipment and wear your kill switch lanyard but above all, have a good time!

Oh yeah, I put a 1/8" alum U bracket on the transom to stiffen it up. I suppose I should have welded it but it was enough with that motor.

my prop will be here Mon and then ill head out the other prop had no threads left and the shaft would just spin on shaft under load called Backwater inc and Jake shipped it right out. ive been hunting all this week and my kids and i will go again this weekend so itll be next week before we try again BTW I did get the 8 x 4 I think the 7 x 4 was too small Thank you again
