theyre just another company copying someone elses idea.. theres a certain respect i have for the true engineers, therefore i stick with someone that can make their own design.. one of the pictures on their website even looks like a picture off the beavertail site. i wouldnt buy from em just because of that.

You guys are terrible. Just because someone ask about a company you think they are advertising. The guy that started this thread is asking about Mayhem mud motors to get information that is all, he's not advertising at all. Matter of fact he has been talking to me about buying one of my mud motors. No I don't work or own Mayhem mud motors, if you want to know the name of my company PM me and I'll tell you. I don't want to tell you on the thread to because I might get in trouble for "advertising"

By the way there are people that hunt and fish with their mud motors and boats and really don't care about having a "Mud motor specific boat" or going 35-60 mph at 4:30am heading to a duck blind. Maybe this Forum should be call "Mud motor drag Racing" talk instead. I'm sure thats not the intention of the person that started this forum.

The dude started like 5 different threads all about the same topic. At some point you really start looking like a troll.... Doesn't appear that this guy is, but it would not be the first time some asshole came on here started a bunch of threads about some no name company and turned out to either be a dealer or the manufacture. Our sponsors pay to keep this site running and pay to advertise on this site. We may be a lil quick to jump the gun at times, but most of the time we are right...

A hull designed to run with a mm will outperform a hull designed for an outboard in pretty much every scenario across the board except for maybe open water. Not really sure what the argument is there. Most of us at some point and time ran a hull designed for an outboard. Chewed it up, spit it out, and moved on to a hull that will perform better and last longer. Don't see what the issue is in letting folks know they should be looking at a better hull vs wasting money on something they will likely never be happy with. What do you run?

I will tell all of you what ,Trolling asshole!!!!!! Lets see , I started different threads on accident, I was going to erase the ones not getting answered(but i couldn't erase them). its painfully obvious that some of you didn't even read them, but wanted to say I am selling them. Ok I have threads asking about diff types of motors. and in that thread I asked about 3 diff types of motors!!!! ya I am selling all three(NICE). and on the others I was asking about Mayhem,Utah, and orion.... So Ya I am selling all three(NICE). Are yall that board that you have to jump on a guy who has never used or for that matter seen very many MM,Trying to find out some info from a site that clams to know a little something about MM. I just wanted to be able to make a good decision before I spent alot of money. And lets go a head and make it 4 types of motors I make cause at first I was gonna ask about scavenger mud motors, but there was several threads about those so I crossed them off my list. Thats all I wanted, But I guess that was to much to handle for yall. :( Thanks for the help and a great experience :!:

Post Re: Mayhem mud motors
I already said that I didn't think YOU were selling anything. The guy trying to protect you was though... It appears that you are just a dumbass that got trigger happy with the new topic button. I read all your posts and refrained from posting until you started...yet another post. Pretty much all of them had something to do with Mayhem. You did ask about engine brands as well, but mentioned mayhem again on those threads. That is the same stuff the trolls do, act like they are a customer when in reality they are doing nothing more than trying to get their name out there, just like mr. fireman (your knight in shining armor) and many more before him.

If you would have started one thread with your questions instead of 5+, you probably would have received some more help. Probably would have been useless to you anyway because the majority of this forum is running motors from proven manufacturers. You would have gotten some mixed info on engine brands (as you did), and a few recommendations to try purchasing from a proven company in the industry (which you did). You continued to make new threads about the same off brand company. All that does is make you look like someone who has a vested interest in that specific company. They all ask questions about more than one company at the beginning, one always seems to get the threads like this though with the whole "looks like really good motors at a really good price" routine. You look like a troll, act like a troll, smell like a troll, chances are pretty good you ARE a troll. You have to understand that it does happen. The evidence is posted directly above your last post...

If you are in fact just a customer not trying to deceive the members of this forum like so many others have, go change your tampon and hang out for a while. Don't flood the forum with new threads about the same topic, use the search feature before posting new threads (it looks like you are doing this already, kudos), and you can learn a lot here. IMO, you are better off going with a reputable company. What are you gonna do down the road when this no name company you are looking in to now is no longer around for warranty, service, and parts? As with most things in life, you usually get what you pay for...

 Whatever troll.

Night life and getting laid went out the window when I got married. She watches shows about fat people and haunted houses. I screw with people on the internet and hunt and fish when I can get out of the city. I got picked on in the beginning, hell I still get picked on now. Some can take it, other's can't.

Alto, I was telling you to take a deep breath and stick around, and explained the whole troll thing to ya. You got to have a lil thicker skin man.

Post Re: Mayhem mud motors
CB I have very thick skin. Call me a Troll, non-advertising paying SOB, I don't care. To me its surprising that when someone ask for advice or input about a brand thats not Prodrive, GT or Mud Buddy you guys light into them and not willing to help. My brother and I are a small company and make small longtails part-time, not trying to get rich but to support our hunting habit. We only make a 7,9.5 and 14 hp model, we wanted to stay away from the larger engines because everyone has a hard on for speed and modifications. Longtails or Surface drives aren't ever re-invented, only improved. I spent a long time reading peoples frutrations with their longtails, "I can't get my bearings out of my "----- longtail" what do I do?", "My prop keeps coming out of the water or digging in, whats wrong". I feel we have made a very well balanced longtail mud motor that is easy to work on. We grease only our bearing housing and the area around the center bronze bushing, not the whole shaft. Also our bearings are easily removable and don't require a puller to get them out. Our frame is all aluminum, laser cut and only weighs 70 lbs with a 7 hp motor on it. The motor mounts are inter-changeable using the same base frame. So that if you want to upgrade to a 14 hp you can take off the 7 hp motor and motor plate, buy a 14 hp with motor plate and u-joint and your ready to roll.

Really besides design, most longtails are all the same. Its the servicablility, customer service and parts that change.

One thing about being small and having full time jobs(mine is a fireman and my brothers is running a fabrication shop) is the ability to stay in business because we don't have the overhead and need to make a living at it to survive.

Go ahead and pick apart any of the above, I really don't give a shit.

My hat's off to every one on this site. This is by far one of the most informative mud motor forums I've visited. I salute the sponsors and those in fledgling companies- thank you for tinkering and making the marketplace viable, because without competition we all would suffer. I also welcome the candor, yes even the occasional profanity, and always the humor, even though it may be a case of ad hominen attacks and braggadocio. Like water on a duck's back you need to let it all slide by. This venting is good for the psyche, I as a member of the neanderthal society know it all too well. All of us, whether in shortails or by now "dinosaur" longtails, blowboats, pirogues, etc., venture forth across the muddy poop, and this is the common denominator. Poop proudly, brethren!

my boat is 10" wider than his.

I have a 14x32 to use in beaver ponds and fish out of and couldn't imagine it handling much more than a 13 hp.

You start running a rivited boat over a bunch stumps and logs it's gonna look like a washboard by the end of season. One year we put a 23 lt on a 1448 and beat the chit out of it for a summer just to see how bad it get. By sept. we took it across the scales and bought a six pack

you won't plane out with more than you if you do at all.

My 1442 and 13hp wouldn't plane with 2 little guys a dog and hunting gear, so that little boat definetly won't.

I'm sure glad the only complaints I make are about low water and the sand/marl hard bottom that destroys props. I would expect if I had to deal with beaver dams, cypress stumps and knees, and all kinds of submerged debris, I would get the thickest alum skin I could find and plenty of horses to move it! To repeat, I started with a 1436 jon from French settlement, La. that my duck hunting mentor sold me. It was battered and bruised, testament to those cypress knees and abusive owners, leaked like a sieve- but I patched it up and I was in love. I used an 18 HP GD lontail for several years and though it was slow, it was easy to move and hide and I shot a load of ducks and when I swapped a 25 outboard on it in the summer, caught a mess of seatrout and black bass in it! I wish I still had it, to go on a solo or two man hunt. Just 'cause you have the latest and greatest don't look down upon the humble hunter. My two cents.
