 which prop
im biulding a longtail and need to know which prop.the motor is a 16 hp duromax and its going to be on a 16/48 jon with usually two people mabe three at around 200 pounds a piece. i know i wont have any speed just need to know for the best performance.

do u think that the 9x3 would be good for a 16/48 jon boat i dont want to have to much prop that it bogs the motor in the mud

I run a 9x5 on my 16HP godevil and I like it a lot. I get more top end out of it, but my shallow water performance suffers because of it. It depends on the conditions you run in. If you run in mostly deeper water, a 9x5 or 9x4 would be fine. if you run a lot of shallow water get the 9x3 and be done with it.

not cheap just dont have $8000 for a gtr and only have $400 in the motor im biulding.
