Post Inline fuel pump question?
I just got a fuel pump for my 13hp go devil today and I was just wondering, when I put in on should I put a ball on the line still and if so should I put it before the pump or after it? Also any other advice would be greatly appreciated!

Is it a remote or on motor tank?

wht did you buy an electric pump or something? these small motors as always gravity fed/on motor tank or have a centrifugal pump powered by engine vacuum/for a remote tank. put your primer before the pump.

Yea I got and electric fuel pump because I took my small fuel tank off the engine and now use a 4 gallon tank thats in the front of my boat but there wasn't enough suction to pull it all the way through the 12 foot fuel line. Thanks I just wasn't sure if I was still going to need the ball on there to prime it.

Probably wont be able to use the primer bulb with a Epump. I tried putting one infront of my epump and it collapsed the bulb instantly and prevented gas from even flowing through. I took mine out and not have had any problems. Which pump did you buy and how many psi?

I got a sap electric fuel pump off eBay it's like 5 to 9 psi. I hooked it up today and ran it but instead of shutting off when it was full it kept pumping and dumping fuel into the carb. I even clamped off the line after the pump to see if it would shut off but still no go any ideas. On the other hand though the engine ran fine today without the pump I ran a couple miles too so it wasn't just a short trip.(this was with the electronic fuel pump still in the line just not hooked up)

I'm no expert but that sounds like too much pressure on that pump. I thought the ones people install were less than 5 PSI.

That's what I figured but that's why I pinched the line after the pump and it still didn't stop shouldn't that of stopped it if that was the case?

yea 5-9 psi way to high. you can get a pressure regulator or find a 2 psi pump. btw how is this pump wired up? through ignition switch or a on off toggle?

should be .5 pound constant force for the float to work. have seen some people rig a blinker switch to pump so it pulses instead of constant flow. its a pain to get the proper feed pressure right when it was orig a gravity feed motor.
