Has anybody heard anything or driven Mud Buddy's new super long tail?? They sound awesome, I was considering upgrading to a PD but this makes me wanna stick with a LT if they run as mud buddy claims.

I'm also imterested in how the prototype performs. The gear reduction will allow the turning of a larger prop- the only drawback to this might mean a couple of inches of water more to submerge in- I understand it will come with a clutch feature for neutral- this concerns me as perhaps a weak point; I would be happy with just the gear reduction and a few more mph and push. Where I run the longtail is still a good fit- we have shallow water with hard bottom and no real mud; my runs are no more than 30 minutes in a sheltered marsh.

If they would make a wieghted back Lt with power-trim and the features, It would be perfect where I run.

Its a nice motor, I have test driven one. It ran only 2-3 miles an hour slower than a shortie. The claim as to being able to sit down a nd drive it like a shortie was a stretched a little but non the less a huge improvement over the older ones.

I am looking forward to this modification via gear reduction for the lontail. I am happy with the power of my 27 so I was glad to hear they may produce this in the 23 and 27 hp categories.

They are building me one right now with a modded generac. Hoping to get it in some time next month.

I saw them last month at MB and I was very impressed with them.
