What do you guys think, new prop???
Ran the boat. It sounds alot more impressive than it runs, Real deep strong sounding motor. Runs alot better than it did when it was stock. The motor did about what silkpower told me it would do with the mods I have. Mods are decked heads, EVT muffler, valve shimmed, port and polished and carb has bigger jets. With 2 guys 230 and 210 blind and grass(150 to 200) and dog 65 we ran 25.5 mph in the shallows(1ft), 23.7 mph in the deep. There is alot of hesitation on the bottom end when going from rest to putting the hammer down. Once it kicks in it jumps out of the hole pretty quick. Load will be the real test as thats what Im looking for.
Thinking I may need a new prop with a different pitch. Boat ran best at 3850 which is the same that it did before the mods. Any higher rpm than 3900 and my speed dropped. Prop I have on it is stock and atleast 85%.
What do you guys think???
Rod you got a link to one of those oil coolers?

Need a differnet carb and intake. You still may not be getting enough fuel to the stock carb. Adjust the air mixture screws on each side of the carb and make sure you are getting wide open throttle from the gov.
