Post PD motor porpoising
Not really sure what term to use for this but my 36 PD seems to porpoise side to side when I am running in the sweet spot. I can't remember it happening before I got my carb so I think it has to do with running a little faster. It gets in a nice steady rhythm like a boat that porpoises and the handle rocks left and right. If I grab the handle and keep it straight, I think my mph's increase slightly. I haven't been able to confirm that just because I haven't had much time to run it.

It's not that big a deal and doesn't happen all the time, but I was just wondering if any else knows what I'm talking about. It goes away trimming up or down but like I said, it seems to do it in the sweet spot.

Had the same, just a little slop between lower unit and top end, from normal wear and tear.

Have had to add some shim washers in the skeg groove before, to tighten up the skeg, but would guess you wouldn't have asked, and just tightened them up, if that was the issue.

I have had one do similar but it was always running in a river with current.

Seemed to sort of wobble side to side a little kind of like riding a motorcycle on grooved pavement.

Never had it on a lake though.
