Post Kill Switch Wiring For 7HP Kohler Command Pro
Can anyone tell me how to wire my emergency kill switch for my Kohler Command Pro 7hp and still use the kill switch on the motor along with the low oil cut-off? I have had no luck getting it to work.

Thanks In Advance

If the engine has a key switch on it take an ohm meter and find a plug or wire that is grounded when the switch is in the off position, but has an open circuit when the switch is on. tap into that wire and run to 1 leg of your kill switch usually labelled C take another wire from the other C terminal and go to ground

low oil shut off and the level sensor are tied in to the ignition switch, which are all tied to the terminal ground. to kill the motor you have to have one wire from the kill switch grounded to frame or motor and the other to the terminal wires circuit. the saftey operates in a normally open position and when you pull the lanyard it grounds the coils shutting the motor down. small non electric start motor switches do just the same open circuit to run and grounded to stop the motor.
