 Re: MBLT Generac 33
Wish I could test both the new Generac 33 and the SLT 35 from MB! I like the new possible choices; I own a 27 MB LT and wonder how that extra 6 HP from the Generac would do. I have the presentiment that an SD owner will weigh in right about now with some negative discourse.

I would like to drive that SLT also. Neutral and squeeze grip throttle seems like it would be a million times better than the old GD 16 horse I had.

 Re: MBLT Generac 33
I hear you Rem man, my Kohler 27 has been a reliable brute, as were my two previous 25's...glad to see the other LT mfg.'s offer them...maybe MB is getting greedy and got a good contract with Generac. Unless the Generac turns out to be really a dynamic improvement over the Kohler 27, I will rather opt for the Briggs 35 which is solid and only about three more bills.

 Re: MBLT Generac 33
Had to be a steeply discounted wholesale price on the motors. There's not a spit of difference between the 33 and the 35, performance wise, and they've abandoned the niche the 27 served. They now go from 23 to 33, with no options in between. Puzzling.
I was in the market for a 27 tall transom, but the 33 is overkill, and tall transom is not an option. Not sure I want to fight the tiller torque on that beast.
Guess I'll buy a frame assembly and order my own 27 kohler.

I was thinking the same think Inda... those kohlers are tough, not sure how that 33 will hold up, or how easy getting parts will be?
