Re: 3 blade godevil surface drive prop on longtail
Not a surface drive blade. My first LT was a GD 18 HP, that was on a 1436 jon boat. I ran a 3 bladed prop GD offered back in '92...it was great in clean water but got bogged down as soon as I hit any grass- it was not a SW blade. Maybe it's unworkable to create a super weedless 3 bladed LT (under the surface) prop? Good question, any engineers out there?

Thanks , I guess it works better on the sd because of the belt and pulley reduction

Re: 3 blade godevil surface drive prop on longtail
I had a 3 bladed prop on my first longtail and it did pretty well. My lontail was alot faster with the 3 blade, but I called go-devil and they said they discontinued making them. Im not sure how a surface drive prop would run on a longtail but it could be worth a shot. It seems like the diameter may be to large.

I tried a 3 blade GDSD prop on my 31hp LT an its for sure too much prop! The biggest an best prop i have ran yet is a 10x7 aftermarket prop for both top and bottom end!
