what kinda speeds you guys getting with your home builts or repowerd longtails using the harbor freight motor?
On what size boats and what weight?

39 veiws and no one has used this motor and gotten any speed reports wow so many guys use them for home builds so no one must be happy with them

I built one with the carroll stream motor and had it on a 14/36. It was fast and you had better be hanging on to the OH SHIT handle.

i built one with with a 13 briggs twin 8x6 or 8x7 prop runs about 18 with just me in the boat

i was gettin 12mph with 2 guys in a 1448 alumacraft with a 420cc harbor freight.

was that a hoe build or repowering a frame? mudduck1448

if i were you i would try to find a twin my buddy has the pred and i have more power with the twin


look on good ole craigslist there always motors
