I should have at least 4 boats coming from Bainbridge and maybe as many as 6.

I'm interested in coming and possibly 2 boats. What's the boat count looking like? Is it supposed to be low and good mud? (don't really want to drive that far to ride deep water  ) and what's the time everyone is trying to leave the launch. Thanks!

NFW would have to tell you what kind of mud it is.

Miccosukee is a shallow lake full of hydrilla, lilly pads and floating islands(mud tussetts I call them). The only obstacles to look out for may be old blind posts back when permanent blinds were allowed.

I doubt this is the kind of mud you find in La, where its 3 ft deep and the consistency of a chocolate shake. This is probably the kind of mud that when you come off plane, you are stuck like Chuck.

I'd call 12 boats a good turnout with 10 days advanced notice.

I mean where it's muddy I deffentaly wouldn't stop but like 7 inch of mud to spray other than that all real shallow 3 or 4 inch of water and since it's a little soupy u can get out of it. Haven't gone to the very back but I didn't have another boat just incase I got really stuck. But for fl it's gonna be the best mud around

Poker Run in sparkleberry is deffinetly worth the drive, hundreds of boats are there, is basically a huge party on the water. As of the end of duck season Lake Marion (Sparkleberry swamp) was up a good bit, but it might have gone back down by now, hopefully up, my longshaft dont like shallow mud to much, haha.

Any of you guys also posting over on duckhuntingchat under a different user name?

If not, It looks like we could expect 12 boats from just the posters on these 2 sites. If half of them invited a friend with a boat, we could be looking at 18 boats.

That would be a great turnout and more reason to make this yearly event.

I'm gonna email Parkway Marine and see if they will come out with a Copperhead motor.
