That's an awesome build man. Love the paint. Where did you get that turf from?

Post Re: Project boat!
Just thought Id post an update on this, Ive had a lot of people pm me with questions about adding on a huntdeck to their boats. i will say it is a chance youre gonna take if whether it runs right or not. I ended up getting the hunt deck squared off in the back. The angled deck made the water very turbulent, causing slight performance problems. after that was fixed, this sucker rolls out! It is a very light boat. With me by myself (195 lbs), 6 gal gas, battery and nothing else, Itll run 34-35 all day long. I loaded it down with dekes, gas, two other hunters and a pirogue last season and still ran 32 all the way there and back. Ive had to add some gussets to my frankenstein motor mount to keep the flex under control, and am in the process of upgrading the brake system. The rotor moves a few thousandths when the motor really is digging, causing it to eat up brake pads. Upgrading to a floating caliper to help with this. Overall it has been completely trouble free. i even caught the sucker on fire in SETX with my crossover exhaust burning the plastic clutch cover, removed the cover and the brake pads and kept on rolling! Oh and BTW, it has IM heads, BPS cam, mikuni, high rev coils, exhaust,38/45 gears.

Later,
Rod

Auto, I'm new to mmt but have been reading your posts about adding a hint deck. None of the pics seem to show up and I can't find how to pm you, but I want to do this to my 1542. Was hoping to get some info from you about the specs and build of one of these?
