 Mikuni Accelerator Pump ???
Made some adjustment to my carb because I was not getting full travel. Now when I throttle up, it will not go all the way back down to idle. it stays around 2000-2500 rpms. It's not the throttle cable as it releases all the way. Its the Accelerator pump not going all the way back down. I can push down on the pump with my thumb and it will release, but thats the only way. The 2 Adjustment screws will not fix the problem either.
Any suggestions?

Check your choke make sure its off and you hace a little slack in the line. Make sure the pump rod is not jamming in the guide thats part of the carb body. Mine froze solid.

 Re: Mikuni Accelerator Pump ???
I have a little slack in the cable. I can take the accelerator pump and push it up by hand and it will drop all the way back down. When I twist the throttle it goes all the way up, but only drops about half way down.
I ordered the drag specialties throttle and custom cable from motion pro, so i might just wait to install it to see if that is the problem.

 Re: Mikuni Accelerator Pump ???
Tightend up the cable some and straightened up the white guide wheel that the cable rides on.
It looks like I may have overtightened the bolt that hold the cable and it is kinked...... The black vinyl is all chewed up right there.

 Re: Mikuni Accelerator Pump ???
a kink in da cable will do it. disconnect it from da carb and see if everything works right manually without da cable.

Dude- you sure are changing lots of stuff at the same time. My advice is to get it right and then introduce new variables.
I will be back in a couple of weeks and we can go run.
