 16 hp Vanguard Problem
Hey, today I took my boat out and for the first couple hundred yards it was running fine at 3/4 throttle then it started "choking" and I throttled down and it ran fine at about 1/2 throttle. I brought it back up to 3/4 throttle and the same thing happens. It sounds like it stutters and would shut off if I did not throttle down. Then after running it a bit longer at 1/2 throttle it started to choke again and died before I could throttle down. After that it was dead. When I turn the key, no sound. Tried the pull start and nothing from there, it doesnt even sound like it wants to catch. when I get the chance I am going to pull it apart and check things but I am not really sure where to start. The motor is a 16 hp Vanguard. Any ideas?
