I'm gonna go out on a limb and set up a mini run for Henderson Lake, Louisiana for the weekend of July 28, 29 2012 based out of my camp located north of I-10 exit 121 at Happy Town. Looking for feedback on who's interested. I'll cook. BYOB and two ducks and a chicken. I can sleep 10 between two camps, more if you sleep with each other. Nobody leaves drunk. Will have band. If you just want to meet us at the landing, that's fine, too. You can pm me, post here, or call me at 337-315-0287 with your questions. Republicans, Democrats, Independents, Libertarians welcomed. We will have an open mic and a stump for you to give speeches and debate. I will moderate. A professional film crew will document the whole thing.

Wives and girlfriends are welcomed but depending on who shows up, there may be a fair amount of debauchery.

Only three days left before the first annual Henderson Mud Run.

I know you SOB's are excited about this and we are too, but safety has to be first and foremost on your minds:

1. Alcohol consumption: I can't be a babysitter. Do not drink and drive your boat. There is a sherrif's patrol boat assigned to the area permanently just for this reason.
2. Do not follow too closely. There will be areas we will pass with very sharp turns and narrow widths so the caravan may get backed up. Don't run into anyone.
3. Respect all other boaters on the lake. Slow down in time to eliminate your wake. It will get frustrating in some areas for you to go slowly but do it.
4. Two boaters were thrown from their boat last week when they hit a stump. One drowned and the other barely survived. Neither was wearing a life jacket. Bubba and I got rocked by a stump last week and it scared the crap out of us. The water is particularly low and lots of stumps just below the waterline now. In the Lillie's some stumps you cannot see, are above the water line. When we travel through lillies stay on the path, watch the boat in front of you and try to mimic its path. In some areas what appears to be open water is actually stump infested. I know where these areas are. If you see the lead boats going slow in what appears to be open water you'll know why....don't pass them up.

WEAR YOUR FORKING LIFE VEST!!!!!! If I see anyone without a life vest I will ask you to put one on.

If I see anyone operating his boat in an unsafe manner I will politely ask you to stop.

North of I-10 is Corps of Engineer property. Those guys don't fork around. They and the LaWF will check your boat for papers and you for DUI. They will be particularly vigilant now since that accident last week. Let's have fun in our boats and drink at my camp.

I will have name tags for y'all to fill out with your username and real name. This is one thing I wish were done at every mud run so we can connect the online personalities with the actual individuals. In my case, though, I might not want to know who you are.

Well fellas the water as we know it is still dropping. Went to fodouch lake good lil shallow run but the dam alligators are ridiculous. Dean there are 2 opening down the dog leg great place to ride I would guess around 6inches of water + Lilly and grass pro drives beware lol. Over all plenty of good places to ride and have a good time oh if you head down to Henderson you will be checked and there are unmarked Saint Martian Sheriff in boats.......

Found out this morning at church that I'll be busy that entire weekend with youth functions & my daughter's baptism. From the sounds of it, the conditions will be perfect for a good ride. Yall have fun.

I am in. I know the area like the back of my hand. I am in water 3-4 times a week. There will be a lot of shallow water to pass in. Some places I been wanting to go but don't go by myself . I haven been passing in all the airboat runs. I ended up pulling out one of megees airboats lastweek he blew a engine. Was only in 4 inches of water. It's going to be fun. Guidry is this anywhere by sandy cove landing? Im not too too familiar with much more than indian bayou.. I know we usually dock at the ruez landing, but have also been to sandy cove, and the landing right over the levvee as you pass achafalaya gold, almost directly in front of it..

Went last night and bust the frogs and bass ass talk about fun found some new places to ride couldn't see much but hit it full throttle they had about 10 or so boats yall def need to try to make this ride!!!!

Ok I went and fished out there this morning and got a better idea of the area.. We docked at kerns, but rode all over.. we went into indian bayou and saw quite a few good places to ride, off of phillips canal.
