Post thai prop on an american LT
Hi all, im new and this is my first post, there is lots of great info here. One thing i havent been able to find though is much info on the cheap thai props on ebay. I will be starting a build soon and am wondering why nobody seems to use the thai props. They are way cheaper the the threaded props. I couldcould buy 7 for the price of one threaded prop. If i have to have a shaft machined anyway, why not just have it tapered and keyed instead of threaded? Itseems they would be easier to change in the field too.Am i missing something? Thanks for any input.

Pretty sure the thai props on ebay are aluminum. We would go through a dozen or two everytime we left the ramp.

thai pros are aluminum. and x2 on going through them often. aluminum just wouldnt hold up to a hit from a stump or rock like stainless.

I guess i was overlooking that detail. I'll be shopping for a threaded prop. Thanks for the quick input. Any ideas on where to find a good deal? This will only be a 6 hp motor for now so high performance isn't really needed or expected.

I just noticed your username. I recommend you stick with stainless if there's a reason behind that name...
