Anyone having trouble with reverse ram on prodrive I am going on my fourth one

My tractor is 10 years old and I never changed a single ram boat got 100 hrs and its on number 4 I am fixing to go to local hydraulic shop and have one built maybe it will last longer than 3 months

Maybe tchauvin can tell you what's the problem.

What did Pro-Drive have to say about it?

Just brought it to the shop it's still under warranty I didn't talk to pd yet

I know what the prob is its a cheap ass ram I was wondering if anyone went as far as upgrading one or having another built

I found on some that I worked on the ram would sometimes get in a bind and jam for a sec. Then the seal would start to leak after a while.

I got 2 of the with 210 hrs on them I got one with 400+ I'll post pics of those to!!

I've had some issues with mine too. It hasn't leaked yet, it just starts intermittently hanging up when cycling into reverse. 165 hours and I have replaced two cylinders (under warranty), five switches (3 under warranty) and sent whole system back to PD once (under warranty). PD always stands behind their product and I applaud them for that. However, I am sort of sick of messing with it. Mine is starting to hang up cycling into reverse again!

It must have something to do with binding, because I don't see many posts about the same problems with the trim.

If anyone specs out a more reliable system, please post the specs. I'll replace the stuff at my own expense!

Sounds like you're not greasing the reverse disk enough, pump the shit out of it.

PD is getting a new cylinder designed...

its caused a lot by the cylinder end not being welded on strait, and these cylinders do not handle side loads well..

So, they are getting a cylinder the size of the trim built for the reverse...

Those belts are rated for 1000 hrs I'm pretty sure the belt is good just make sure it's not to tight the belt that is
