Any cylinder that gets too much side load will eventually leak internally or externally.

I never looked at the PD hydraulic reverse. Do they have heim joints on the ends? I use heims on my hydraulic assist stering in my wheeling truck and it allows for misalignment.

Heims will allow the RAM body to move without bind, But it may cause inteference issues with other crap. I' am pretty sure PD has there reasons for what they got.

I doubt GOOD heims will wear out FAST... But then again mud and sand getting in them will promote more wear.

So the heat may be damaging the cylinder internally? My reverse cylinder does not touch the exhaust, but is very close. The exhaust is an EVT.

Yeah, my MM exhaust glows red at night on the header pipe and the sides of the first can.

Possibly the reason why trim cylinders seldom fail like the reverse cylinders do?
