Post Lake Fausee Point : Help!
Guys I hate to ask for any help but I have a situation. My father-in- law which is not in the best of shape and my brother-in-law are stuck in lake Fausse . They docked their boat in the state park, followed the levee all the way down and then hung a left to go to the camp on the opposite side of the island from bird island shute. So apparently the lake is pretty dry. I would run it myself with my prodrive but I just got home from having a vasectomy an hour ago  My name is Ty my phone number is 337-594-8679 and my father in laws number is 337-230-7545 or Lukas 337-852-9332 They need help to get out of there.

Just got off the phone with Lucas. Im not sure if we've met but im Cortland, Im somehow related to Andrea as well, and have grown up with them. Ryan has some guys who are gonna go help them out I believe

No, I've never met you. But I also just spoke to Lukas and they haven't spoke to anyone and do not have any help so they are having to abandon this boat tonight by pirogue. I guess I will have to take my swollen nuts out there so if anyone can help try to get this boat out or know of anyone that can please send them my way.

Honestly from a survival point stay in the boat unless you absolutely need to or you are 100% postive on where to go. Search will find a boat much easier

Look I'm the one stuck out here in fausse point. The facts are sheriff Dept doesn't have means to get the boat. Wildlife and fisheries wont move the boat for liability reasons so unless we we an airboat or a miracle we are stuck like chuck. I was told that the lake was not tidal. And if it is we don't really know when the tide will rise. So if any one can find someone with an airboat I'd really like to get this done. We borrowed the boat from a friend and imy old man ain't doing so great. Neither am I. Its been a looong day. Call me at 852-9332 or my dad 230-7454. Thanks for any efforts made.

Even through all that stuff, the tide affects the lake level on a daily basis?

Yep. During the summer my house boat is on the levee by Charenton. When the tide gets going you can't swim against it.

Are they in a MM or outboard? Unless it is a very hard bottom a MM should get them out unless they are in a heavy ass out board. Garret pulled out express with a 115 a few years ago in flat lake hard bottom.

the lake is slightly tidal during the summer but this time the year with the north winds you might be waiting for a while.

Call Magees Landing in Henderson in the morning and ask for David. They've got two or three air boats available. It's prolly gonna cost you cause this is no longer emergency but vessel salvage. If not, go buy several vey long pull straps and try to get a few of us together to help effect an extraction. We need much more detail on type of boat and propulsion ie. outboard or Mudmotor and exact location with GPS coordinates posted here. Or find the spot on google earth, take screen shot of pin drop and post up here. Best prolly to get airboat and a few mm's lined up as backup. Good luck.

I will try to go in the morning and see what we are dealing with . I will also be trying to get an airboat from new iberia. If that doesn't pan out then I will check at Mcgees. It is one of the first ProDrives ever build 1848 center console with the Kohler 25. It is a turd ....with a blind. So this old thing is heavy. This thing's been through hell for a good many years.

The lake is very tidal. These strong north winds push all the water out

Mud flats in the bayou behind the house. The water is at high tide now and falling

Drop a pin where the boat is.

Lucas, Ty. Y'all call me this morning if y'all need a hand.
