 Re: marine audio
i've had several. none of them were fancy like sum guys have. the best one i've had and seen were made in a playmate style cooler wif just a radio wif good outpoot like 50wx 50w or more wif 2 speakers on the outside. be sure to get a radio dat is compatable wif ur ipod.
i gots a bose docking station dat i ain't figured out how to waterproof yet, cause it jams.
small but sounds good. u can run jugs, lines, or traps and it's not in da way.
the sound is better in a bigger icechest, but it is bulky.
good luck.

Boom Box with dual cassets. 16 D batteries and I am set! Actually, all I have is a little crank radio in my boat.

 Re: marine audio
About to flush mount a cd player and 4 - 6.5's in the seat box i bought from swampsnyper. That was pretty much the reason I bought it.
Heres a question for yall -
Are yall running your sound systems on the cranking battery or a seperate one and how long would a seperate battery running the cd player on high volume with no amplifier last without charging?

 Re: marine audio
I got a marine cd player with 2 6in speakers mounted in a flambou robo duck box (like a plastic tool box) with a rechargable 12v gel battery for a deer feeder in the box and it last about 8 hrs.

 Re: marine audio
DeWALT jobsite radio that runs off 18v batteries. I WILL put my new ipod in a waterproof box this year. You should see the look on the kayakers faces when I cue up "Dueling Banjos" on the river about dusky dark. Hilarity.

 Re: marine audio
i've got an audiotube thats what the pvc one's are called they are easy to make all you do is get (2) 6" pvc 90* and some pipe, make sure the 90* are both the one's the you put the actual pipe inside. decide how wide you want it to be and then take what pipe you have left and put it in the open end and cut off flush on both sides this way when you put your 6" speakers in the screws have something to screw into. the screw will seat itself between the 90 and pipe you cutt off flush! here are some pictures of mine. http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh96 ... 2-Copy.jpghttp://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh96/volsjp/037.jpghttp://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh96/volsjp/031.jpg

 Re: marine audio
Get a Pelican case for your ipod. Those things hate water. Ask me how I know and why I'm rocking the metallic pink ipod these days.

 Re: marine audio
Kook that is an ipod on top of xm radio. if you look on the right handle bar from the seat view then you will see the ant. and yeah the amp is inside the tube. there is a cig plug coming out of it and thats what i use. it's been completely under water so i know it works in water.
