Myself and a few other guys are heading out to Wallisville on August 29 to run the rigs. Going to meet at Hugo Point ramp around 8am. If you want to go run with us that morning, come on out. Should be fun. Hope to see some of y'all there.

I still want to run one, but I was kidding. I do like my little setup though. I end up hunting a bunch by myself and the water on some of the lakes I hunt can get pretty low, this thing is really easy to get in and out even by myself and with a shallow boat ramp.

so ya'll tell me this... if I show up saturday, will there be mud like that video that I can play in? if it's like that, I might just show up. I'm guessing it's like that when the tide goes out? so what times will the tide be out so we can play in some mud?

Best guess 6:00 PM till 10:00 PM....

Today it was prime from about 4:00 PM till dark...

Bout 45 minutes later every day....

Crews, westendangler has been running it just about every weekend. I'm sure he can take us to some mud. Tides may not be that low but I would think we can find some.

where is hugo compared to the locks

The only low water satruday morning is gonna be way south....

Saturday and Sunday there were two low tides - one at dawn
and one in the afternoon - but that has stopped....

Water levels - unless wind influenced will be about 1 foot over MSL
untill very late in the day on Saturday.....

But remember a lot of boats will be in the backwaters building their blinds
using that same high tide at dawn....

There's a few areas around Reds & Cross Bayou we can go play at...

I know some areas that I've found at a decent tide that we can slide around and get some mud flying. Some thick stuff in areas this ain't no Louisiana mud

Giga- I'm showing high tide around 10:30 going out all day low Sunday early morning around 12:30AM or 1AM...

We got into some really nice mud - a lil hard and sandy but nice....

The point is - be careful - after coming from a funeral that day
for a friend and neighbor - almost seeing (hearing the crash) and
witnessing a totaled boat limp into the ramp with children on board
was pretty scarry....

If it can happen to a pair of experienced locals....

The out of town guys need to be EXTRA CAREFUL !!!

Yeah - ya'll get "style points" for the Navy Seal pickup / jump in
as the boat comes by trick !!!!

That was a devil-ishly hard bottomed flat with nary a drop of water....
