finally got in some mud and it is like it dont trim down into the mud far enough mud flys everywhere. my transom is 16 but i think it should be about 2 to 3 inches lower. Any ideas????????????

move your trim pin down to the bottom hole.

iam going to cut the transom down 2" not just because of the mud issue but it just seems like it swats when iam running like as if you put a short transom outboard on a long transom boat. it still right now runs 27 in deep water so i will find out

did jughead give the duck thing up yet r what. i just dont know how, i sometimes wish i could but its like a bad drug to me. you know any time you need someone to go with you give me a call.

Calvin I'm going to look at your boat when I can,if I can I'll do it tonight if not tommorow when I get off of work.We may be able to do something but I'll have to see,just hang tight.

As far as jughead he will hunt if you take him and your killing lots of birds,but its like all the other toys he has they are all just a fad.He has a new hobby every 3-4 months.

Its most likley your transom angle not your transom hieght. You need to have 18 to 20 degrees of transom angle for the motor to be in the right place. 16inch transom is fine for a shorty.

And that is 20 degrees back from 90degrees of the floor of you boat.

My 15* transom works fine. I still smoke the other rigs at my camp when running to da blinds.
Just adjust the transom mount man.
