Does any one know what the penalty is in their state for operating a comercialy rated hull (no flotation) for recreational purposes?

How does a sealed chamber work in relation to condensation and heat issues? I always heard that sealed chambers were a bad idea on a boat due to the temperature extremes that you can face. For example, right now it's 4 degrees here in Utah but in the summer it will top 100. I have heard of sealed chambers popping due to overheating, what happens then? I've also been trying to make sense of the USCG regs because I'm looking at selling boats also, when I contacted the USCG they offered to pay my mileage and hotel stays to drive a hull from Utah to Maryland to their testing facility. I might actually take them up on that.

Last two hunts I made this year were in 12 to 18F air temps with water temps in the 40s. Almost a 20 mile run in deep water one day, only a couple of miles the next. I would like to invite anyone who calls the owner of a boat with flotation a pussy to come up here and run 500 yards off of the lake shore in big water and these temps. You wouldn't last 15 minutes fully submerged in this water if something happened and your boat sunk to the bottom.

90% of the water i run is 2' deep.....when running the neches into bessie heights, i am aware of the large ships around me and what they are pushing....if its a big wake, i head to the bank and let him pass......same thing in the ic.......closest i have ever come to swamping a boat was jumping a levee and submarining on the other side......got 2-3 inches of water in the boat so i pulled back on the levee and pulled the plug to drain it.....oh and there was that one time i forgot to put in the plug and had pulled away from launch just to run it back up on land when i saw the water running in.......

Well I know the flotation in my 2007 hull didn't do a damn thing when I swamped it in 3 feet of water( hit a stump boat tipped to one side and filled up with water) and it went strait to the bottom and didn't. Float on top at all.thank god I had my waterproof viper winch handy and it pulled the boat to the bank underwater! 6 flushes of oil and diesel later my motor is still running strong
