Post LT on Gatortrax Rogue
Can you run a longtail on a Gator Trax Rogue with huntdeck? Or will the motor hit the false transom when you pick the prop up out of the water?

the handle on the longtail has a curve that extends upward that allows for transom clearance. Since the motor is mounted further back I would think your chances of hitting the false transom are lower than with a traditional transom.

I believe the "tail" will hit the false transom. If mounted on the false transom it will be a bear to turn.

Sweet thanks, so as in the thread above you just don't mount the motor on the huntdeck? Just the transom?

If you mounted it all the way back on the rear hunt deck transom it would be impossible to turn. You would have to be outside the boat trying to steer it.
