Anyone try moddi'n a 29 Van.? I got a stock one pushing me about 22/24 and was wondering how much performance increase I'd see with the BPS Duals exhaust, and a mikuni carb? I'm turning 3970 wot in water.

I am currently running a Stage III 31hp which is the same as the 29hp. I am pushing a 1854 GTB whith 12 gallons of fuel and 150lbs of gear in storage and the gun box 38.2 mph in deep water. It pushed a 1200 lb load 33mph in deep water. This motor does not have decked heads at this time but will soon have them. The first motor we modded was a 29HP Vanguard and it ran like a raped ape. Mind you we modded it before we came out with the high flow intake and mikuni set up. A Stage I on that engine will make it come alive. Call us sometime if you need more info.

Heads are bolt on as well. Just the exhaust and carb kit would see some better top end and throttle response. If you really want some gains do the head work.
