Re: Henderson, LA March 2nd Still on. My motor is torn down now thanks to a clutch replacement but I'll be up and running in time. Still meeting at 9 am at Butte Larose launch under I-10 this Saturday. Should be a good time. Come on out if you're in the area.

Re: Henderson, LA March 2nd My damn repairs took a turn. I rooted out the bad crossmember on my transom to replace with epoxy. I created a dam with plexy glass into which I poured epoxy to replace the area vacated by my excavation of wood. I carefully sealed the perimeter of the form with sealant. I poured the first 1/2 quart of epoxy to test and everything held nicely, no leaks. So I poured the second. Not good...started leaking at the bottom near the floor. I now have a 1/8 thick layer of epoxy coating the entire floor of the transom section of my boat. This is not a bad thing as I now have the wole area sealed up and impervious to future rot. Today I will replace the void with new wood instead like I should have to begin with and roll with it. I'll report later how this goes.
