if you know the amount the heads were shaved/decked that'll help

please include boat brand and size, prop size or if have run several different props the pros and cons

also if you know what jets u are running in your carb would you add that in

I would call those boys down at Gecker. They have a High lift Cam on there website for about $275. They will also do a custom grind.

Got an update on the stage 2 for ya Willet.

i broken Cam Rhrs after i had ithome. 11 broke bolts, cracked block all within 15 hrs on a stage 2.

If anyone gets mods done be prepaired to be wrking on it everyday. Is it worth the money for a stage 2 or 3......no. Stage 1 i would do it all over again.

Good luck willet when i find a place in east tx to buy a block ill send you there info.....u might need it soon.

Later

Post Re: Lookin for info from folks with stage 2 PD
This motor is Damons old motor and i purchased it with a stage 1 already on it.

Had stage 2 done by EVT at about 75 hrs or so. At 77 hrs cam flatened a lob and busted 5 bolts. Got the motor back and bolts where lose within 1 hr. Put them back in with red loctite and broke a bolt off again at 79 hrs or so. Replaced 3 bolts and put Nords on it and ran it until the block cracked at i think 84 hrs.

All mods done by EVT and they took care of all repairs and would probably help me out with this if i would ask. I dont plan on doing any mods so why put them out the money, they need it for R&D.

Here is how i look at it. I could have saved alot of downtime, freight cost, and money if i would have put the parts in myself. Hell i could have done this good.

Its odd all the guys breaking bolts on these motors these days. If people would talk more we could probably have this figured out by now.
